Everybody's Input Counts

School Governance is the most important voluntary role in education. Yet it's a role many young people believe they are unsuitable or ineligible for, because of the misconceptions that you must be a parent or have a background in Education. In truth, anyone aged over 18 can become a governor and add value to a school; the key to successful schools is the diversity, commitment and enthusiasm of its Governors.

Being a Governor is an excellent opportunity to develop personal and professional skills, and it's a wonderful way of making a genuine positive contribution to the education of potentially thousands of children.

Following its hugely successful 11 year partnership with the Harlequins, NEC UK are now supporting the club's Community Programmes, specifically the Ernest Bevan School in Tooting which, until now has had no engagement with rugby. The funding is also being used for local community clubs, and in particular 'dads and lads' training sessions and children's games prior to the professional matches.
