Quins V Toulouse, Heineken Cup, Sat 17th Oct. KO 6pm
14 October 2009, 2:22 pm
By Sarah Butler
Head Coach, John Kingston, gives us his thoughts on this Saturday's game against Toulouse.
Last Saturday in Cardiff proved an extremely frustrating start to our Heineken Cup campaign. We clearly had the better of the exchanges for most of the match but failed to take advantage of our dominance in terms of territory and possession. I felt a draw was the least we deserved in an intense finale and their break away try put a slant on the final score, which was no way a reflection of the game.

It was particularly disappointing given the manner in which we had seized our home win against Bath a fortnight ago. In as exciting a finish as you could ever wish to see (and we have specialised in a few of these recently), the team showed remarkable composure and patience under the greatest of pressure, to nail a match winning try with the
last play.

Similar qualities will be needed on Saturday as we host the starstudded Toulouse team. We are well aware that progress
in the Heineken Cup is built on taking advantage of home games and that must start on Saturday. We understand the challenge that lies in front of us but the squad knows that we are more than capable of living with and beating the best in Europe on our day.

I am sure it will be another exciting and memorable occasion at the Stoop.
