Mark Lambert captained Surrey Under 18s and represented London and the South-East, having been educated at RGS Guildford.
During the 2003/04 season, Lambert was a regular in the England Under 19 squad. He made his First XV debut for Quins in the Zurich Premiership game against Gloucester at Kingsholm on 9th October 2004 and was a regular in the team that competed in the Zurich A League throughout the 2004/05 season.
Following a prolonged absence through injury, Lambert started playing again at the back end of 2005; quickly regaining a first team squad place at Quins and forcing his way into the England Under 21 squad that competed in the 2006 Six Nations.
A member of the Quins academy, Lambert signed a first team contract at the end of the 2007/08 season that will see him remain at the club until 2010.
In summer 2009, Lambert was called up to the England Saxons squad for the Churchill Cup competition, where he recieved his first cap at this level.
